Me and the nephew got out on Nickajack for a couple of hours last night. Fished shallow stuff and was surprised that a few spots that had produced for us the past couple of weeks were empty. The water temps were high, I was measuring 68 degrees pretty consistently. <br /><br />We caught a couple on jigs and....... TOPWATER. It felt good to get a few topwater fish to play. <br /><br />Everything was caught in 5 feet or less. <br /><br />We did manage to also see a couple of copperheads hanging out on a tree at the water&#39;s edge. Of course, I didn&#39;t see him quick enough for comfort.
