Good to hear from you! As to the Utah Lake State Park project, they will be reopening to the public this Friday, May 25th! We were excited to received that news only this morning. As to algae this year, its anybody's guess. Utah's DEQ has already launched their three data sons out on the lake, and they are working with a firm that supposedly can use satellite imagery to predict algae bloom occurences with relative accuracy. Looking at the past several years, it is entirely possible that we will be having a bloom again this summer. The best source for more info on that is [url "http://HABS.UTAH.GOV"]HABS.UTAH.GOV[/url], maintained by DEQ, including reports on their sampling for algae, etc.
