Launch Boat.

Tie up to Dock.

Drive truck to parking spot far from ramp.

See transom plug sitting on dash.

Curse.

When I got my new boat several years ago, I was not very familiar with it.
I put the plug into one of the livewell holes and not the correct place.
We were on the boat for about 15 minutes when my son saw that we were taking on water. I quickly hit the bilge pump and headed for shore.

We got the boat back on the trailer and that was when I saw that I had put the plug in the wrong hole.
The good thing that I learned about my boat is that is built to not sink.

I love my boat!

Been there, done that. Lucerne Marina, Flaming Gorge.

But luckily for me my buddy was smart and got it close to shore so it only sank most of the way, not all of the way. The motors never went under, but very, very close. I put the plug in and after a LOT of bailing I was able to get it on the trailer. It took 20 more minutes to drain completely. Then we went out fishing.
