After performing blast-off duties we headed to our primary spot. Nothing. Finally caught a short one on a topwater and a few more short ones. Dusty finally gets our first fish on a jig so we are on the board. Struggled to find quality fish and finally caught our second and third keepers around 11pm. We kept moving, but then kept going back to our primary spot. Finally around midnight we move to a lighted area and I catch a smallmouth that is short. On the next cast I hook up with a good fish that takes off and breaks my line. At that point I am ready to load up and go home. We finally make the decision around 12:45 to go back to our primary spot. Dusty then catches a 4 pound smallie on a jig and on my next cast I catch a spot that ways over 2 on a swinging head jighead with a Missile Baits 48 worm. Anyway, thirty minutes of good fishing turned a terrible night into a better night. Congrats to Ken and Jeremy on the win.
