This makes me MAD

Went to the bird refuge this morning. hoping to get another 32" or bigger. pulled into my spot and see 2 catfish floating in the water. at first I thought that they might have died from lack of oxygen. since this part of the river has not had any current since spring when they closed the gates to do some work on the refuge. So I netted them to look them over. that's when I really got pissed. they both had been stabbed in the head and cut to bleed out. Now I wouldn't have mind if they were on a stringer. I know a lot of us have packed up in a hurry and have forgotten things. These fish were killed probably with the intent of being dinner but then someone changed their mind and just left them.

Well on a brighter note. Ran into Forest (Tin Can) and the Mrs. Always good to see them. I did happen to get one nice fish a 29"er and a couple of smaller ones a 25 and a 22

People really suck sometimes..... mostly all the time.
Wonder if that building has cameras because they use to have a problem with vandalism out there, that's why you can't fish at night out there any more.

Haven't even seen the fish cop the couple of times I've been out there. He usually checks me every time out.

The Federal warden comes by every now and then. But not as offend as he did in spring. I know guys are staying the night in there. the other morning I was there when the gate opened and and seen a truck in that spot already fishing. At other times while fishing the ramp at night I have seen vehicles coming out of there at 1 or 2 in the morning well after sunset. Boy I would like to try night catin there but no fish is worth a fine and my luck I'd be the one to get caught.

John, always nice to see you out on the river. We got out there late yesterday morning. Wife had her line in the water not even 5 minutes, big Carp took it. But you saw what happened after that. That 29 incher you landed just after we got there was a real hog. Glad it finally revived to swim off there at the gate. Those 2 purposely killed and left Cats are a real shame. Some folks just have no honor at all. Hope you were able to get some use out of my carp. Wife and I moved down the river to the flat dirt drive off spot about half way out. Pulled in there and noticed several empty worm buckets and other trash people leave behind. I can see why the private property owners have their sides of the river banks posted as no trespassing. I picked up an empty Walmart bag, 7 empty worm buckets, and various items of other refuse before we left. Wasted fish and trashed fishing areas just give all of us anglers a bad name. [mad]
Way to go with that 32 incher.
