Got to the pond around 8:30 a little bit of a late start. Only a few people on the lake. And only a handful of perch and one trout caught. Moved and drilled more holes but it was slow there too. Walked on from the west side not quite out to the middle. Ice was solid 4" with an inch of frozen snow/slush on top. Some weak spots from Springs so be careful if you go out. Things were getting a little soggy as I left around 1:00. Hopefully the cold nights solidify things on top.

was out there also. stayed closer to west side. out around where the dock would be . then a little east found a 16' hole . only iced one 9" perch. had good marks on sonar at first . then it just went flat line. could jig a few to come and take a look but couldn't get them to bite.

Yeah it's pretty crazy that the bite is slowing down already. Go figure.

Hopefully the colder temps will get a few more ponds fishing so the pressure will fade so the fishing will get better... I think by next week it will spread the pressure out over a lot more area... Once Hyrum and Pineview start fishing, Mantua will settle down a bit... at least I hope so... Glad you got back out again... Later J
