Bountiful lake update

Black ice 2 1/2-3” thick where I drilled. I walked out on it to drill with no problems but decided to stay on the docks to fish. Saw a few men about 15 yards from the shore on the ice.
I caught 2 13” rainbows in about 30 minutes that were surprisingly fat for B-Lake.
Unfortunately the upcoming warm temps will likely deteriorate the ice that recently formed.
Use extreme caution should you choose to venture the ice here.

Thanks for the report, sounds like the ice will be building for a few more days before the warm snap hits. Have you ever caught any gills or perch while ice fishing there in the past?

I have only caught trout and a random bass comes out once per year it seems. I would love to figure out the perch and panfish. Maybe Super early or after dark. If I have any success I will definitely report.
