Fished 1:30-5:30. Tough bite. cold and blustery. Threw the dresser and kitchen sink at 'em. They would not cooperate! Ran out of the park at 3p up river. The river was rough. Jumping and belly slapping rollers on up the river. Chocolate milk from power plant on up. By 5 pm it was down past the park when I returned. Ended up catching 2 bass. (One keeper), and a 13" crappie. All on a lipless. Water temp was 49 everywhere. I think the morning bite will be key on Sat in the CFF. There's supposed to be a good stiff north wind and rising baro early, probably locking their jaws as the day progresses. But what the hell do I know. I just roll with the punches. 1 good fish will keep me from getting stuck with a 20 pointer, lol/ .
