Man that had to be a scary ride... At least if it came from where I expect it did... hope they are okay... Hope it doesn't cause too much damage to the pond either... Later J

I was fishing there this morning and watched it happen. Seemed like it was a straight shot into the reservoir, like he may have fallen asleep. Driver crawled out ok, I believe he was carrying butane, non-soluble which I guess is good. But I heard diesel fuel was leaking a little.

That's the edge of the pullout just east of the island where it went through.
I wonder it the gas it the tanks are what's keeping it afloat?
Not far from shore there's 30' or more of water there.

Wow that would have been crazy to watch it happen. Good the driver was ok. So was the crash the most exciting part of the fishing trip or did you do ok today? Thanks for the details. Later Jeff

I seen the picture on KSL and the full Reservoir made it not quite as big of a drop off as I thought. Probably still a scary ride. Don’t know if the gas would be enough to float that much steel or not, but looks like something is keeping it from the bottom. Glad it wasn’t me that would ruin a day for sure. But maybe you count your blessings of still being alive to tell the tale. Later Jeff

A lot of it would depend on how full his tanks were when he went swimming. Also the specific gravity of the gas if it is in a liquid state would factor in.

The fishing was great when the wind was blowing, a little slow when calm. Bigger fish were active when it blew. I went over to see if anyone needed help, but the officer that arrived shortly after the accident told me to keep my distance.
