Retired and want to get back into fishing. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me the gps readings to the island at Willard Bay. I used to have them but I haven’t fished in a while and my gps erased everything. In return I will always post a full and honest report on my hope to be many fishing trips.

That is it. Wow, didn't realize it was that shallow. I haven't done about of trolling by the island this year. I have done a couple of passes around other boats, but none right over it. [fishon]

That sounds about right. I was going to say I didn't see the bottom come up like that on the fishfinder, but again i went around other boats so might have not actually gone over it.

Whoever planned raising those dikes must be psychic. They should be picking lottery tickets! What a water year!!

[#0000FF]Even with the raised dikes the water level is not likely to be allowed to get too much higher. It would flood the campgrounds and park facilities. They will need to do some engineering around the lake before they can let the water come up too much further.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]I had to scratch my head when I saw them raising the dike all around the lake. No way the water level will ever get that high.[/#0000FF]

Looks like they aren't letting water in the channel. Drove by this evening and the spillway from the canal was dry.

I never thought about that TD. There are only two places where there are no dikes and both are where all the people access the pond. I see your reason for head scratching. Seems illogical to raise the dikes any further, or for that matter as highs they are now, unless they are planning on relocating a lot of amenities. Top of the ramps will be on flat ground!

But if they did raise them even higher TD makes the point below that there wold be repercussions.
