Took my wife and kids fishing yesterday evening and night. Kids had a blast with the white bass while the wife and I enjoyed kitty fishing. There were alot of firsts last night. My son caught his first fish and his first double hook up. My 8 year old daughter caught her first fish alone and double hook ups. My 4 year old reeled her own fish in without help for the first time. The bite was slow but we all had fun

Good job taking the kids fishing. They all seem to have a good time catching fish.

What kind of set up do you use for double hook ups?

Looks like the family had a great time and it doesn't look like it was too slow.

I am not sure of the knot but basically take a seperate piece of fishing line and add it to your main line. You fold the leader one end about 12 inches longer than the other which creates a loop at the middle of the line and you take your main line and pass it through this loop twist the main line around both ends of the leader about 8 times if both lines are mono or fluorocarbon and about 10 to 12 if your main line is braid or fused then pass the end back through the loop the same direction you entered the loop then moisten and draw tight. This gives you 2 ends of unequal length to tie to.

We worked for our catch. Some days the fish just can't stay off the end of our lines.
