The rods are differentand thereels are different.They serve a different purpose.
Baitcast reels,if used right are more accurate and you can get more distance. The line control is better and they are more flexible as far as adjustments. Baitcasters a harder reel to learn but you get more out of it. Not to mention it is a more powerful setup.
