Hey Fuzzyfisher.. I'd suggest you not trying the ice at Ut lake,, its gettin' really thin,, in fact,, it has melted way back from shore most places around the lake.. One big wind from the north west and it will stack up on the south end like a glacer,, but then again,, thats just my oppinion,,lol...........

So how was Sheboygan? I haven't been there since I was a kid but I remember going trolling on L. Michigan with my Grandpa and catching a big Brown that we ate for dinner.

P.S. Did they tell you the story of how the town got it's name?

[cool][blue][size 1]Hey Coldfooter, did you ever get back over to your spot on the west side of the lake? And, how is the depth over there for some iceout walleye fishin'? I know you prefer ice fishing, but some of the folks here could use some soft water info.[/size][/blue]

Welcome back Ron. A little surprised that Electric Lake wasn't on your list as a possible fishing destination. I have wanted to get up there, but without a snowmobile I'm afraid I may get buried in all of that snow up there and not be found until spring!

Hey TD..

Well,, hum,, now with the ice bad on Ut Lake I'm going to waiting for the ice to pile up on the south end then chain up all four wheels and back my pickup in to the point I can cast for the walleye while the tailgate is down and I'm sitting in the lawn lounge.. And yer probably thinking "man he's gotta be jokin',, he cant be serious!!!",, right??[Wink]

Utah Lake Wallie's.. Gravel beach area's and rockie points at the crack of dawn or sun down should bring everyone a wallie or two.. Now with the onset of warmer weather comes the spawn.. While some people believe otherwise,, ithe spaw is not always the easies time to do well on Wallie's but some can be caught because not all fish spawn at the exact same time,, witch means,, there will probably be per-spawn fish for the taking.. Just remember its 6 fish limit and only (1) fish over 20" .... And if possible,, toss all the walleye honey's back so they can due their duties this time of year..

Oh and by the way,, fishing from the back of the pickup while over axle deep works great for the big cats a lil later in the season after dark.. Just be darn sure your axles are well sealed before hand,, and your on hard bottom.. [Wink]
