I'm sure you can find active fish year round due to the hot springs, but I would avoid it in the summer due to the biting flies and mosquitoes! The only way I would fish it in the summer is with a good dose of Jungle Juice (100% deet) and a full head net to keep them from getting into your eyes, ears, and nose. Last time I was out there it was dry, but the road in was very rutted and looked to be clay, so watch it when wet.

I think the one he means is the one south of Wendover along the state line. (Bass and bluegill) Right bassfinder?

Yes I'm talking about the one by Wendover. And thanks for the info.

Right now! If your gonna get out there, GO! Usually by my birthday we stop catching lots of large fish. My b-day is next week. Fish minnows early, get away from scuba divers and make sure you have a good drag!

I've been one of those dratted scubba divers out there. I've never seen anything of size in that pond. Had fun feeding them cheese whiz though. How big of fish have been taken there?

A few winters ago I fished it and saw several largemouth that I would guess were close to 10 pounds but that is only a guess because I sure could not catch any of them. WH2

Saw some around state record size, lots of 5+lbers. My ex's dad broke one off this year that was close to 9 lbs.
