I took my 5 and a half year old grandson along with my nephew and his 4 year old boy to echo this morning. Got there around 10 and fished until 12:30 or so. was straight south of the boat ramp in 40 feet of water. the kids couldn't keep the perch off their hooks. we used green rats
with a waxie right off the bottom. perfect day, sunny with intermittent cloud cover and no wind-just right for the little guys. the ice is thin at the edges so wear hip boots if your a little? overweight like I am. I went through the ice over my boot on the way out AND on the way in. If someone wants to perform a public service a 5-6 foot 2x4 or its equivalent would be appreciated. It looked to me that the echo and lost creek area did not get the snow we did in the valley last weekend; hence, I'm hungry for trout so it will likely be lost creek for me this weekend- as joe walsh says "it's been good to me so far"!
