OLD OUTBOARDS.

HEY ALL,

I HAVE AQUIRED A 47' CHAMPION OUTBOARD 7.5hp WHAT I AM HAVEING TROUBLE WITH IS FINDING INFO. ARE ANY OF YOU GUYS FAMILIAR WITH THEM AND CAN GIVE ME A GOOD RUNDOWN OF WHAT I NEED TO DO TO TUNE UP AN OLD 2 CYCLE/STROKE MOTOR? ASIDE FROM NEW PLUG AND STUFF, DO I NEED TO AND HOW DO I CHANGE THE OIL IN THE FOOT? WHAT OTHER AREAS SHOULD I LOOK AT BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO START IT IN A BUCKET? THANKS

I dont think that your going to find any manuals for anything that old and parts may be obsolete. I think that if it has been ran within the last couple years we can assume that everything is there and in decent shape.

if you'd like you can bring that over here and I'll look at it and help you get it running.

I'll see what I can track down as far as some parts cataloges.
