walleye at the lower bear

Anyone ever caught a walleye on the lower bear river?[Image: 11745.jpg] 26 inches

The walleye in my avatar was caught not far from where you caught yours, it was 28" and weighed 8 lbs.
I was talking to a warden last fall and he said that the walleye started to show up 3 years ago after heavy January rains swelled the river.

   Have caught a  Walleye from that same spot.  24 inches but pretty fat. Made great fish tacos that night  Wink

Lots of people have found that the lower Bear river have a good population of eyes. They have been in there for many many years but they really started doing good when the shad escaped from Willard and found their way into the lower Bear river system. Nice eye you have there, were you using bait to catch it?

Thank you everyone!!! I didn't know There were walleye in the bear. Some of yours make mine look like a baby!!!!!

My PB walleye came out of the Bear about 15 yrs ago near Corrine.  Same length as yours.  Nice catch!
