I WAS AT ROCK CLIFF AREA SUNDAY MARCH 7TH. FROM 8AM TILL 1PM, ICE WAS LIKE 12 TO 18 INCHES THICK, NO EDGES SOFT WALKED OFF RAMP ONTO ICE DRAGGIN SLED. GOOD ICE, IF ITS WARM ALL WEEK IT MAY GO TO 8 OR 10 INCHES, WITH SLUCH ON TOP FROM THE 5 INCHES OF HARD SNOW TOPPING IT NOW. THATS WHAT I REMEMBER...

I worked the area just off the cliffs at Deer Creek (between Rainbow bay and the island state park) yesterday .. Ice was about 12" thick once out past the thin stuff next to shore but it was merely a step over situation.....
Fish report,, slow,, but I didnt get there until about noon. But hey,, it was a welcome change and a great day to set in the sun and soak up a few rays! [signature] |
