How is the ice holding up at Newton?
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

How deep of water was that in?
I'm taking my wife and kid there tomorrow and hoping to actually catch something this time.

Sounds good, thanks. Am hoping to put some of the advice I've gotten here to use.

Thanks for the reports. What is the average size to the perch there at Newton?

That was pretty kind of Alan not to mention the fact that I had one of my worst outings of the year... Sitting right next to Alan i watched him catch close to 30 fish and I finally got one small perch to make it a 30 to 1 spanking.... I missed a few hits, but my bullheadedness to stick with spikes and my frozen wax worms rather than bum some bait really paid off for a near shutout... Snow was sort of sticky so it was work to get the gear on the ice, but luckily the edge margins wasn't too bad if you picked your way around the worst spots... I figured after that showing it couldn't get much worse, so I tried Cutler in the afternoon and I was wrong 0 and 16 on Cutler this year... I don't think there are any fish left in that pond.... I even used fresher bait... have to regroup this week and find my inner Zen to get the fishing Mojo back before I get back on the ice... Really hate it when I live up to my screen name... Later Jeff
When things get stressful think I'll go fish'en and worry about it tomorrow!
