Multi Lake report
#1
Spent a few days earlier this week in Cache Valley for our Anniversary. Did a little fishing while we were wandering.

Hit Mantua - caught perch, gills, sunfish - midday all caught on pugly perch bugs and Pats tiny 1/16 jigs tipped with worms. Fished the rocky dike area around the outlet.

Hit the Porky - caught rainbows on jakes lures. Silver with red dots on about a 3-5 second count down and retrieve. Fished the water fall inlet area.

Hit - Hyrum. Caught a few perch on pugly perch bugs tipped with a worm. Ran on a drop shot about 6" off the bottom. Fished the south end of the dam area.

Hit Newton - caught LMB and perch on pugly perch bugs and Wookie bugs fished on a drop shot. Fished anywhere we could find a weedline break to open water.

While we caught fish everywhere we tried, the fishing I would rate as very slow for June. This is normally a killer time to toss our pugly bugs and plastics at panfish and bass, but the bite was off. I can guess the reason was three fold: pressure changes, wind, power squad churning. Oh and we did not fish prime time morning - cause - well heck - it was our anniversary guys - mind your own business Wink
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Still sounds like fun, even if it was slow.  No skunks, that is always good.  Happy Anniversary!

The good news about the drought this year is that with the ramps closing sooner than later, it may cause the power squadrons to give up and get out of the habit. The bad news is that we may be fishing in dust come August.
