strawberry report

hey all. i hit strawberry with bigcat his friend jeff and my friend eric. fishing was good when we got there at 7:30 but soon really cooled off. we were fishing in 20 ft of water using tubes paddles and ice flies tipped with bait. fishing really slowed at the marina so eric and i headed over the hill to another bay and bigcat and jeff went home. before we broke apart i caught 3 bigcat 2 and eric one and jeff one. we fished for about 2 and 1/2 hours out at the marina. eric and i went to anoother bay and immediately i caught 2 more and eric caught two more as well. fishing slowed there too. i missed two nice hits and had two almost up to the whole but couldnt pull them through. tough day comppared to what it is usually like. i guess the fish are deeper now.

Ya, I agree with Jr8fish. Beautiful day, not so great fishing. Actually it was the worst day fishing all winter for me. But its always fun to get out with friends. Thankfully the slush layer is now frozen and its easy walking again. If we are not able to relocate the fish I may have to put the ice fishing gear away and pull out the golf clubs until ice off.

Thanks for the report guys. Im going to try and hit the berry on saterday if all goes as planned. Hopefully I wont spend as much time getting unstuck as we did last week-end.
