I don't know about suckers, but the Carp will spawn beginning in early April. They move into shallow bays or areas new shore anywhere in the lake. When there is water in Provo Bay (Mud Lake) they move into there by the thousands. It's much the same anywhere around the lake.

I've seen carp spawning in mud and gravel. One big female is followed by one or more smaller males as she deposits her eggs. When spawning carp like the warmest water, which is normally the shallow flats (1-3 feet deep). The best places also seem to have deep water nearby a shallow flat. The carp will cruse the edge of the drop off until they are ready to spawn. Where I shoot/snag carp I have found the peak of the carp spawn to be the middle of May when the shallow water warms up to the mid 60’s. The peak of the carp spawn may be a few weeks earlier in Northern Utah. You can also find the carp in the shallows a month or more before the peak of the spawn. I always find the carping best when I have a few sunny calm days in a row that allows the shallow flats to warm up.

Suckers like current and gravel to spawn in. I've never specifically targeted spawning suckers but from what I have seen I would guess that they move to the mouth of creeks and rivers from May to June depending in most of the places that I fish.

well i dont know about suckers but at flaming gorge the carp spawn in july when the water is the warmest the like shallow flats and coves wherever the water is the warmest is where you will find them. as for down here in the valley i'd imagine the spawn would be a little earlier maybe june the gorge is pretty high in elevation takes longer to warm the water up. out at my duck club in june is when they spawn i like to take my bow and do some bowfishing for them its alot of fun and close to home.
