Was on the ice around 11am. Left around 18:30. Slow fishing. Most fish were 20’ or less. Iced only 5 fish. Action picked up around 16:30ish. No slush.

Thanks for the report. I chickened out for fear of slush and went to Starvy instead, fishing was terrible but no slush there. I won't make the same mistake twice.

Thanks for the slush report too, I know a lot of us have been nervous about that monster... Glad you got out for a trip and caught some fish... Later J

Was up there as well yesterday. My snowmobile stayed up on top. It was so cool zipping across the lake on such smooth, soft snow. Snow is firm enough but I saw where some wheeled vehicles had been stuck. Anything with a track should do great. We fished in 17-25 feet from 7:30-3:00. Caught 20 ish myself. Was hoping for faster fishing but probably my fault for not moving when it got slow.  So where do the fish go during the afternoon when it slows?  Should I be looking deeper, shallower?

We got on at the Marina. Seems everyone is hanging around there and to the east. Maybe they know something.

Do you think they know something, or don't want to walk further? Just know it's hard to get access very far away when you're on foot... This next two weeks might be a good stretch to be able to access a lot more area with the slush froze up and less snow scheduled to roll through... Hope I get to get there sometime soon... Later Jeff

Did anyone have any 4wheelers out or was it too slushy / deep snow for those?

I only observed one, but it had snow tracks.
