I fished Willow from 330-530 yesterday. I landed a pretty big hatchery Brook Trout that had no fins. Probably about 2.5 pounds. He went back in the drink. I went back today for a few hours and caught two more. They were all caught using roostertail spinners with gold blades and the other thing I used was a super duper. I just casted out as far as I could and reeled it in slowly. They seemed to be deep to me, not really close to shore. There are always a few folks with fish at this lake, but I didn't see anybody who was having more success than anyone else.
It's nice to have this pond right here in town, but there's too many people.

No flotation devices are allowed. You can't get on the lake.

The rule is you can only keep 4 fish. But you can definitely catch & release anywhere including the urban fisheries. I had a fish cop watch me catch a big brookie then release it. All he did was check my license.

Cool! Don't care much for the fish cops but they serve their purpose, just usually not in the places where folks are breaking the laws!
