Jordan River 3-16-04
#1
Went down to the Jordan today for the first time in years. I don't know how to fish it that well yet so any tips would be appreciated. I did manage to hook one big fish on a small salt and pepper tube jig tipped with a worm but I broke him off when he went on a run because I had tightened up my drag to get out of a snag and forgot to reset it. I never got a good look but it was fun to feel some good weight on the end of the line.

Hey man it could have been anything[cool].Don't automaticely assume it was a carp, I've caught walleye, trout ,and big cats, etc. I'm confident you could have hooked onto a big brown or cat ,"theres no telling what you'll catch".Thats why I like to fish the Jordan. Another reason is because alot of people don't fish it. Because most people when they hear the name Jordan River they automaticaly assume your talking about catching carp.

Walleye, Carp, Channel or brown. It all depends on where you were. There's some really good sized walleye's in there. I almost bet you hooked one of em.
