Carp fishing

hey all,
I will be cooking at the carp fest here soon, come on out and eat some good grub! On the lighter side of things, I have never fished or caught a carp before. Any information on what I may need, before the big event, would be highly appriciated. Thanks

let us see carp can be caught on several things a glob of bread works well so do worms, carp are soft mouthed fish so setting a hook is a challenge I normally let them swallow the hook and then real'm in.
