Nov 2024 Florida Daytona New Smyrna Beach Orlando
#1
Winter 2024 is coming into the water here in East Central Florida, first cold front of the season, lows down into the 40’s for several days, water temperatures dropping, water levels will begin to drop, and clarity will improve. Winter fish patterns include movement to deeper water, schooling patterns of most all fish species, migratory species moving south to spend the winter in southern Florida. Winter fish starting to appear include Sheepshead and Bluefish, each with very different habits and eating style, sheeps attracted to structure, eating crabs, shrimp, chewing on barnacles, blues up in the water in schools, attacking and eating anything moving in their space. Resident fish like Redfish, Seatrout, Snook, Snappers, Black Drum and other will hunker down, get used to the colder water for a few months. Long time local client Greyson caught this beautiful Grouper with me in the Edgewater Backcountry…………….
