Took the kids and the dog out of the house to the north marina at Willard.
This was Sunday.
Tried the channel on the south side but no bites there so we moved to the day use areas so the kids had more room to run around and dig up bottle caps with the metal detector.
That was a good move!
The poles bent a few times and it was awesome to feel the first catfish of 2025. It was also awesome to watch the kids fight them in to shore.
We kept the two we caught. I did have the measuring tape and one was 24” the other 23”

Nothing fancy for bait. Just a slip sinker, swivel, and a circle hook with a large whole night crawler.
