Deer Creek
#1
Went to Deer creek wednesday morning. Trolled pop gear and worm and sling blades and squids. Morning started off slow but got better as we went. The water is thick with green growth. On our way back into the dock we saw a boater paddling his boat so turned around and gave him a tow back. At the cleaning station there were so many hornets that we ended up taking fish home to finish cleaning. My knuckle is still swollen and sore from the one that stung me.  Over all a great morning on the water.

We caught three pretty nice ones  (didn't have a tape with me) the rest were on the smaller side.

thanks for the report, I have some family in town this weekend and was thinking about heading up there, but not sure if the pea soup sounds appealing.  Did it mess with any of your lines or lures?

Didn't seem to affect our lures at all. I don't have a temp probe attached to my boat anymore.  caught most fish in the 15 to 20 foot range

Let's say I wouldn't want to take a mouthful if I fell waterskiing. There were wakeboarders on the water though

I fished DC yesterday with Brookie and as I recall the water temp was about 68 at the surface. We were targeting Walleye but struck out. Lots of healthy bows and a few perch however. Pea soup didn't bother us fishing the bottom at 20-30 feet.

The down payment to buy a wake boat is the operators brain from what I can tell from the way they drive.
I don’t think a mouthful of pea soup is going to matter to them!
