Strawberry 9/9
#1
Fished Strawberry Tuesday 9/9 from 8 to 11:30 with my daugher. Fished 3 different places and finally found them on the 4th spot.  Fished the Meadows area and caught them using tube jigs tipped with a worm. We caught them on top using a bobber and also throwing jigs and letting them sink with a slow retrieve. Nothing special all Cutts in the slot. Didn't keep count but I'm thinking between the two of us in the 30's.

Not a lot of boats out. Nice fishing a lake without all the water skiers etc. Thinking of fishing Echo this Friday.

My wife and I were also at Strawberry on Tuesday. We trollled streamer flies from 830am to 1000am with a few bites, but were only able to get one in the net, so we went up into Mud Creek to vertical jig. We didn’t see many fish on the sonar, but we did get a few bites but no hook ups.

Next we took a half hour boat ride to another spot, and instantly saw lots of fish on the sonar. I spot locked the trolling motor and we started jigging. In the next three hours we netted 26 Cutts no Bows. We did move once about 50 yards away. We were in 75 FOW. The fish we caught were suspended mostly at 30’-40’.

Water temperature was 65*, air temperature 50* in the morning 71* in the afternoon.

Nice detailed report, sounds like it was all about the location.
