what is the best time of year to catch largies at utah lake. i have fished for them in the summer with some success, but not a ton. but the ones that i catch are very nice fish 3-6lbs. what i am wondering is when and what areas produce the best bass. i usually just throw spinnerbaits while waiting for a whiskered friend to bite.. and that normally produces some fish here and there. someone told me that the saratoga area has some nice bass.. but i dont know where to go besides the marinas. and obvious structure on the main lake.

Hey aquaman do you think the outer edges of the dikes (west side, outside the marina) at Lindon would hold any largemouths? Or do they prefer the protected water inside the marina?
I'm thinking about taking the tube Saturday and fishing there, but I don't want to go into the marina and pay. I'd rather launch from near the bubble up and paddle over there. What do you think?

[#800080]In murky water, you want contrasting colors ie dark reds, dark browns, and black. Plus, noise makers like spinnersbaits and lipless cranks.[/#800080]

thanks tomegun. I'll have to look through my tackle box and make sure I got what I need.

i had such good luck fishing inside that i've never tried the outside dikes but i don't see any reason there wouldn't be bass on the outside rocks
