hey chris i hate to say this to you but DUH!! yeah it's good catfish bait.. lol we have to try the cat's down at utah lake again this year..i'll show you some places that hold some nice ones.. take the boat tho i'm getting were i dont like standing in the water any more..

sucker meat is like the best bait that you can use... although i prefer carp... it works as well as sucker( my opinion) and it stays on the hook longer. but sucker is killer bait. especially if you can get some of those like 6 or inches. just cut them in half and fling it out there.... works better than most bait.

Is it best to use baby carp and suckers? I have caught some HUGE carp and suckers, but didn't know if it was good to use that. I didn't know if they would eat it. Later in the year, would someone be willing to take me catfishing on Utah lake? I would trade a day of flyfishing on some remote waters in Southern Idaho with some beautiful cutthroats and scenery.

I'll take you up on that catchandrelease. I really have been wanting to learn how to fly fish. In another month or so Ill head to Hooked Tackle and have thoise guys get me the things I need to build a fly rod. I really want to try it this year.

Tag alongs are welcome in moderation! I can't give too many secrets out at one time, then they wouldn't be secrets! But I could probably handle a couple of guys. As long as I go catfishing and catch some big cats!

well the tag along thing will be ok with me!! but theres only room for 3 to fish in my boat at a time so if some one want to bring another boat i'm game for some big cat's.. in about another month it's realy going to heat up out at utah lake.. but right now i'm looking for walleyes so the kitty's are going to have to wait..

I usually try and get down to Utah lake during the cat spawn. Maybe a few of us from BFT can bring our boats over and do a group attack on those big cats. When do you think would be the best time? WH2

I'm in Cache Valley. I fish the Cub River alot. I know where to fish to get some good ones. I fish the Oneida Narrows with Streamers quite often. I have caught some really nice browns in there. It's a good time. If you're going Wed. What time would you do it?
