Last I heard, a couple days ago, there is still a lot of ice at Scofield. With the warmer temperatures you may need a plank to get off the ice but the ice itself is still ok to get on. If I had a chance to get up there I would because this is my favorite time to ice fish Scofield. Just be ready for slush on the warmer days and really slushy edges.

I wouldn't open it if I were any of you unless it's scanned for viruses first. There are a ton going around right now.

It is scanned for viruses I have had this for 3 years. I am a network Administrator for the alpine school dist and would not put something questionable on the internet. (if you look closly at my email adress it is a state of utah email adress and if I was to put a virus out on the internet I could be tracked and procicuted for it and I am not willing to loose my house and kids over a little virus.

I agree, it was kind of a rocky start but we are glad to have you aboard. I clicked on the link and had a bunch of burps and farts. I thought it was pretty funny and I haven't broken out in spots yet from a virus.
As far as Scofield goes it's like I said in the above reply. I love to fish Scofield because I take my family and do a lot of shore fishing. It is usually pretty consistent when you compare it to Utah Lake and other places. Right now is probably great ice fishing if you know where to go. If you go, good luck and I hope you have fun.

If I was to let everything like what happend upset me I would not be such a happy person. I dont need an apology (but it is accepted) you all are just being causious users that is to be comended I wish half of the people in my shcool district were as savy and warry as you all are. would make my job a hole lot easer. Have fun I cant wait for the ice to come off the edges just got me some fresh fresh 3 day old real salmon eggs cant wait to tie some eggsacs and knock them dead last year we killed them also Lime twist power bait works wonders at scoalfield.

I have neve seen it spelled Scoalfield but it's interesting none the less. I heard reports that the egg sacks were killing the fish about a month ago through the ice at Scoalfield.

Ok back to the question. I was up at Schofield last Sat the 20th. Plenty of ice. Edges were a mess by the time we left. Quite a few people falling through up to their waist getting off the ice. Towards the afternoon you could break through the slush layer to the ice layer. Probably worse by now. If I were going up tomorrow, I would try the south side buy the dam, and don't forget your plank. Its somewhat shaded on that bank. That's always good for a thrill! Good luck if you go.
hope this helps
