Took my son out today to the Berry but couldn't get him into any fish .I think he just likes spending my money at the marina rather than fishing . I hooked 3 cutts with one going 21" . Ice is still good with a crust over the slush . About 24"deep total .

Not very many people at all about 10 total by the marina . I don't call it to successful but my boy limited me on were I went . Big secret is I caught the big cutt a stone throw from the boat ramp and in 8' of water looking for bows . I fished out in 35 to 54' of water for the others .I wanted to use all the fuel in the power auger and I did do that . Lost about 4 others but got there late 9:00 and fished till 1:00 .

Getting out there with your son is more about just being there with him, than how many fish you caught, so I bet it would have been a good day even if you caught 0. Thanks for sharing, the fishing reports have been few and far between. I'm sure that will change as soon as a few more lake open up. WH2

Yes Curt , you are right , It was good to get him out with me even if we never caught anything . Just to cold for him today so he got in the truck after I drove it down the boat ramp to the ice for the last 30 minutes . I guess I am use to it because I work outside all the time . I have been slacking on posts but not much luck lately . Fished willard once last week and Utah lake about 3 times in the last week . I'm still waiting for a walleye that wants to play .

Ice was not that bad at the marina . I broke thru a few places but it was only about 4" drop in slush . The bottom foot of ice is good ice with the top not so hard .
