There is some slabs in willard,I always caught crappie around the boat docks,and the best way to fish them is from a tube or a boat,I like to flip a 1/16 oz tube jig in red with white tails,If you want them look in key areas there are piliers on willards boat docks in the north marina and one in the south marina,flig the jig up under the dock and let it free fall next to the pilier,just dont take more than a few of the big buggers.
lets us know how you do,they should be starting to move in shallow like pinview crappie. Later,FNF [signature]

Yes the wipers are what i'm there for got hooked two years ago and cant get enough,it changed last year for the worse and am hoping it was just the low water,if so this year will be intresting.

last year was my first year after wiper. and i fell in love with them i cought at least 3 a day last year. i thought it was great. All around 5 lbs. after two in a row i had to take a nap lol

Last year the crappie fishing did not get good at willard until the end of April and into the first of May. Most of the crappie being caught were 10 inches or so. We did see a few crappie that were by the boat docks in the north marina that were near 2 pounds. WH2
