Where were you at, what time of day, and what depth of water?

the cat fishing in willard is almost always good.. and it is usually fast. but the only problem is the size.. dont get me wrong, there are some HUGE cats in there, but most of the cats thot you catch (80%) are under a pound.the bear river also has some huge cats but they can not always be found. i like to fish the bear river bird refuge, there are too many cats in that place, but if you can find them there are monsters lurking in there. someone told me that when wipers, stripers, or any other schooling fish boil the big catfish will lurking under the boil sucking up all of the injured shad or other bait fish.. i was thinking of trying this... just a thought.

You are right about the cats being right below the wiper boils, we always catch a few cats when casting into boils. We have also caught smallmouth and sometime walleye. WH2

I usually fish just up from the bird refuge and have good luck, I was just trying to find a new place.
