I fished the Berry last night from about 10:30pm to 2:30am. I had a blast. I caught 8 fish: 1 15 inch, 3 17 inch and 2 21 inch cuts, 1 19inch rainbow, and the fattest 22 inch cut I have ever seen. I didn't have a scale but he must have been pushing 4 or 5 pounds. He gave a great fight. What a fun trip. Sadly, I think that is my last ice fishing trip for the session. Time to break out the fly rod.

What part of the Berry did you fish, and what were the ice conditions?

Kent,
If it is at all possible, I would love to have another Berry night fishing trip before the season ends. What are your plans this Friday. I'm not sure it would work out, but if we could get something together, lets do it.

I fished close to the marina in 22 feet of water. There is a 2 or 3 inch crust on top, then a couple inches of water and slush, then a few inches of cloudy ice and finally about 10 inches of good clear ice on bottom. The top layer of ice was strong enough so that I didn't step into any slush. Happy SAFE fishing!
