deercreek 3/30/04 report
#1
fished deer creek today action was way slow hit the flats north of the island first thing this morning looking for some walleye hooked about a ten pound carp on a jig head and crawler that got my heart pounding for a few minutes. saw lots of fish on the finder but never got any walleyes thinking they were carp after i hooked one. drifted some crawlers off the shoreline south of the island boat ramp and picked up 3 healthy bows man they are footballs up there all the same size 17" and about 2-2 1/2 pounds fished from 8am til 3pm with only the three fish water temp was 46 deg and i got a decent sunburn cant say i have ever had a better day wind wise than today water was like glass most of the day. beats being at work anytime fish or no fish.
