one of my favorite setups is useing a light wire hookand a very light weight.on 4 to6 pound line and just cast to the area holding fish and reel in the slack keeping the line tight will let you know instantly when a fish is on just raise tip and reel.i have used the when a bobber spooks them and when they are nesting it is very deadly setup and take little exp to use.when fishing for bluegill i never use worms as everyone esle is probaly useing them and they are ok if you want a nibler but for a hard hit you cant beat crickets.
