road to soldier creek

Does anyone know if the road to the dam is open yet. Also how often does it stay open all year. I am thinking of buying some land up there and need to get in and see it. Would also really like to know what to expect in future years.

Somebody here I am sure has that kind of info.

It is only plowed once or maybe twice a winter when the operators need to get down to the dam. The rest of the time you have to snowmobile in from US 40. The parking area is really small and you need to get there early or all the parking spots are taken.

I haven't been by in the last couple of weeks, but it is sometimes plowed by the first of Apr.
