Mantua 5-9
#1
Fished Mantua again last night for about 2 hours. 6-8. I had better success than the day before. There were other fisherman there that had caught a few fish as well. I was using a rubber black worm with a hook running right through the middle. I would cast and let it sink to the bottom and bounce it around and let it sink. I caught 12 bass in the two hours I fished and I missed many more. For Mantua I thought the bass were pretty good sized. I had at least three that would have been over a pound and the smallest bass I caught was probably 10 inches.

I can't take the credit for catching the fish. A fellow fisherman that I had talked to said that he had been using the rubber worms and he had great success. So I bought some of my own and had bites all night long.

Thanks for the report. I'll be taking my boat up there this weekend myself. Which part of the lake is best to fish?

I was fishing from the West shore this weekend, but when I take my boat or I see others boating they always head to the east side. I like the South East side the best and I have always had more success on the East side than the West side.

Good Luck

I was 50 yards north of the dock. Just moving north and south on the rocks. Thats where I met the angler having a lot of success and he said I should try black rubber worms and I caught five fish in the next hour. I was there from 9-11:30. Caught my fish from about 10:15-11:30
