I was there a week ago and they were biting on minnows. They seemed to be out about 20 feet from shore.I casted away from the rocky shore line and thats were i got my fish. There were minnows all along the shallows so if you have a minnow trap you can catch fresh bait just make sure you kill them before you use them. You can cut their head off and use a jighead and jig for them on the bottom.I most likely will be going there this saturday also.

Hey Ocean where is this rockey shore, to the south of the main boat launch or to the north of the main boat launch, or maybe to the east of that boat launch where the inlet is, These areas are what I'm leaning to

I've only fished there once, and it was through the ice. But I have a friend with a "cabin" up there, and they do good fishing with a worm and mellow about 2 feet off the bottom, or one of those red shiner minnows fished right on the bottom over by the docks. I'm not sure if all the docks up there are private, but if you can find some that are accessable, you might be in luck. He tells me the water is about 12-15 ft deep at the end of the dock they use. Their docks are on the south and west side of the lake. Sorry I can't be of any more help. Good luck on your trip.

Just be very careful about private docs. I was up there about two weeks ago and saw the game warden writing tickets for trespassing. Apparently there has been some winter vandalism in one of the private cabin parks. The warden asked me if I was supposed to be were I was. He wanted to see my i.d. and check me out. I think it may have been the same guy that thejensenkid had a run in with. Just be careful, thats all, and most importantly, have fun and catch fish.

Only gfished Scofield thru the ice twice. Never fished it in the summer. Sorry I couldnt have been more help to you. But I fish the berry alot and I would assume they are similar. So the set up you mention should work as well as anything. Also try some power bait or eggs. I have had success at Strawberry castingf lures also. Hopes this helps.
