Ogden River Report

I fished the Ogden River Memorial Day morning from 6:30 to 10:30 AM. I hit three different spots in the canyon, and landed 9 brown trout from 10 to 13 inches long, with several more lost fish. Two browns were caught on 1/32 oz black marabou jigs, and the other seven were caught on olive jigs. The river was running around 20-25 cfs.

Do you ever fish the river down below the canyon? I've seen some nice browns come out of the river down there. Thanks for the report and welcome to BFT.

I have fished the Rainbow Gardens area a few times during the winter, probably about 4 or 5 years ago, but I didn't catch anything real big. I haven't fished the Ogden River since that time, until going several times this spring. I now fish the Provo during the winter, but that river starts getting way too crowded for me by late March or April.
