I went to the weber yesterday with a friend. We hooked into more than 25 whitefish, most around 16 to 18 inches, I only caught one small brown. we were using size 16 to 18 phesant tails, sow bugs, and the ususal nymphs. After a while I got sick of the whitefish and I tied on a # 14 PMD to see if I could catch a trout or two. I got a hit on my third cast. and let's just say that fish has a nice lip ring. I was stupid and only tied one the night before so that ended my dry fly action for the day. I will make sure I have about ten in my box the next time I go. the water was a little low but still very fishable. there was some moss but it wasn't too much of a problem. It was a pretty good day. I hope to be returning soon.
