Saturday 12th of June Free Fishing Day

Consider taking someone fishing on Saturday who doesn't regularly purchase a fishing license. I am taking a young man (late 20's or early 30's -- as I get older there seems to be more young men than ever before!) fishing, who told me that he had only caught a few fish, and the largest was only about 4 or 5 inches long. I'm going to introduce him to the wonders of Strawberry. Can you say casting net for the minnows and fish on?

Can I pretend to be new to fishing and have you show me how to use that cast net? Just kidding.

I was hoping to get the boat out on Strawberry this weekend as well, but doesn't look like I can get my truck fixed in time. Anyone know a good mechanic? The radius arm bushing on the front end is out. Makes a horrible knocking noise each time I hit a bump.

My son has a few friends that are 15 years old and have never fished. I am hoping to take them fishing so they can decide if they like it,then they can get a license. I just haven't decided where I am going to take them. I am thinking Echo because there is a wide variety of fish there. We will be fishing from shore.That is the plan anyway.

[cool]Sounds like an awesome day to go to Willow Pond, or any other community fishery...NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Dang, can you imagine how crowded those places will be?(Not to mention how much trash will be left on our lakes and not picked up).[pirate][pirate]
