Lindon boat harbor 06/09
#1
Took some kids fishing this afternoon fished along the south dike casting into the lake. Fished here for about 45 min no luck and it was real windy.

So we moved into the harbor fishing from the dock after about 15 min my sons friend caught his first kitty an average sized mudder. That got everyone else so hyped up that they wouldn't let there bait sit long enough to get another bite. After about an hour or so everyone had time to calm down and then my daughter caught her first kitty another mudder about the same size. We were using crawlers and berkley cat bait, all fish were caught on the crawlers.

I had one good strike on a rapala countdown but when I set the hook my line broke, damn I really need to replace my line. I also tried a orange/char jig no bites.

Oh well, all in all it was a good day fishing, got a pair of first time kitties it was great.

Nice report. I was just wondering if the carp have finished spawning in the harbor. Last time I was down, they had the water all muddied up and were frolicking in the shallows. Nails

I didn't see any carp so I would assume they have finished spawning.

As of Sunday and Monday they were still spawning. Thick..... My guess is that the wind has deterred them a bit. They have been extremely active from sun-up til around 11am then almost completely stop. The water in the harbor has been extremely muddy.

Thanks for the update. This cold front will put them down, I just hope they don't start up again as soon as it starts to warm again. Nails
