Deer Creek Report 6/8/04 and 6/9/04
#1
Tuesday, went float tubin' at the island for two hours (3-5 pm)... caught 5 smallies. Rather windy, but I stayed close to the island as not to get blown away...

Wednesday, went float tubin' again at the island from 8-12 am... really windy... I anchored myself to the shallows of the island. I caught 17 smallies and 1 'eye. Smallies love those senkos rigged wacky style. Some like those grubs in watermelon, with cinnamon flecks, especially that 21 inch 'eye. I had a good time, and it was challenging to stay in one spot because of those danged winds.

I caught something giant on a senko, but I lost it before I could see it, dang!!!!

Nice report Paul. You sure are brave being out in this wind in the tube! Good luck on your next trip.

[cool]Sounds like a great time, paul. I'm gonna have to get out there sometime. I might be going to willard tomorrow, so I'll be sure to post if we do.

Oh yeah, how exactly do you rig your jig up "wacky style". I seem to have forgot.[crazy]

Wacky style is where you just simply thread a hook in the middle of a senko. Just cast it, and it will fall wacky to the bottom. Bass love the effects...

I've seen Predator catch carp with senkos at Pineview. Could of been a carp

Sounds like a great time up at DC. Is the water still coming up? Hoping to get up there this weekend, or up to the Nelle. I sure hope this cold front doesn't kill the bite. Nails
