Jordelle and Deer Creek
#1
Although I have carefully followed this board for months, this is my first posting. I was wondering what color and size of senkos people have had the best luck with for smallmouth bass at Jordanelle and Deer Creek. I am thinking about trying my float tube this weekend. Also, have any of you caught largemouth bass out of Jordanelle? We caught a few last year and are hoping to have better luck thi year. Thanks for the help.

Never tried them at Jordanelle or Deer creek . But a good color would be green pumpkin to start with . I would try 5" for the bigger fish . I just started fishing them last year but lots of colors will work too .

I'm new too, but here goes. Fished Jordanelle Monday morning (6/7) till about 11:30 AM, when the wind blew us off the lake. Had good luck with 6" Senkos in smoke color with black flakes. Also different shades of green were producing. Hope this helps, good luck.

I have tried a number of colors, including daquiri, smoke, smoke with black flake, green pumpkin, pumpkin, green with red and gold flake, black with blue and gold flake, white, blue pearl, etc. etc. I have yet to try a color that won't catch fish on DC or Jordanelle. The key to the bate is the action more than the color. Useful sizes include the 3", 4",5", 6", and 7". Rig the 4" and 5" with 3/0 wide gap gamakatsu texposed, the 6" and 7" with a 5/0 wide gap gamakatsu texposed. Use the 3" for dropshotting, and when I wacky rig, I usually use a size 1 or 2 strait shanked worm hook, lite wire, or a Yamamoto crooked hook (53 series). The darker colors seem to be great in low light conditions, or for deeper presentations. You can't go wrong with a senko. Nails
