Willard??
#1
Everyday I read 3 or 4 Willard posts and I was just wondering if anyone had information on a good spot to try shore fishing in the evening.

Thanks

I'm the wrong person to tell you about fishing from the dikes, since I've never been on the dikes and haven't yet determined how to get on them, but I do know that crappie can be caught from shore at the North Marina right at the docks. The lights apparently attract them. The docks themselves are inaccessable, but you can park right above them and cast jigs or spinners close to the docks and pick up crappie and some wipers. I didn't try it myself, but watched some fishermen doing it last weekend.

Due to the shallow water this year, fishing from shore is probably going to be a bit more challenging than it normally would be. However if you can find a way to get there, the north west corner always holds some fish in close to the rocks. Don't fish right on the corner there is just a big shallow flat, but off to either side is usually a good bet.

PM Icefool and ask her were she fishes, she has been doing good. She caught 10 wipers from shore the other day but I'm not sure where. Also one of the guys reported catching more than 10 walleye from shore by the light pole. Good luck. WH2
