Put in at the north marina around 6:30 pm. Fished along the north dike for a while with no success. Headed over to the south end and for the first time in four years, Lise caught her first wiper around 7:30 PM. That my friends is what makes life so wonderful. Did she stop there? No sir, she caught two more in the next hour! I finally managed to catch the smallest one before the wind picked up and we headed in around 8:45.

Thanks for the report, with that Smile from your wife you can sure tell she enjoyed herself, I bet she wants to go out again, huh? What lures were working for you? WH2

We used a blue & silver rattle trap, a shad rap and a black & silver medium diver. Trolled at 3 mph in 11-13 feet of water. Most hits were on the planer boards.

Great Smile, nice fish, beautiful boat......you got it all! Congrats on the wipers. Is the launching out of the north marina still pretty safe? Haven't been up this year, and I am a bit nervous about the low water. Fishing out of a Lund proV 1900, just don't want to ding a prop or munch a motor foot. Nails

Launching is ok but don't go toward the docks on the south end of the marina. A rock pile is sticking up. When you leave the marina, go well past the bouys before turning south. A very shallow spot is developing two hundred yards out.
